Jenny Bridge - Scottish Harpist

This harpist is based in Glasgow and is available to play for weddings, functions and concerts helping to create the perfect atmosphere for any event. She was trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tuition of Wendy Stewart, Corrina Hewat and Hannah Phillips and plays a Starfish Mamore, a 37 string clarsach that is portable enough for any location.

In 2011 she received the Clan Currie award for Clarsach, and is the 2012 winner of the Orkney Folk Festival Open Stage.

Previous engagements include Edinburgh Castle, Glasgow City Chambers, Bothwell Castle Golf Club, St Magnus Cathedral and Ross Priory. She has performed for the likes of HRH the Prince of Wales, the Lord Provost of Glasgow, and Rangers Football Club.

She can provide music for the guests' arrival, the Bride's entrance, the signing of the register, the Bride and Groom's exit and the guests' departure. She can also provide background music for the drinks reception, or during the wedding breakfast.

She can also provide a clarsach and violin duo, perfect for larger venues.

Jenny Bridge - Scottish Harpist Feedback

Hi ..., We had to thank you for playing at our wedding at Huntingtower Castle. The atmosphere you created was magical and it was lovely to be able to hear you play no matter where we were in the castle and its grounds. All of our guests raved about you and thought the harp was lovely. Our only wish was that we had more time to chat with you. Thank you again and we would definitely recommend you to others.

Dear Geoff, thanks for your email - the harpist was a great addition to the family pre-wedding gathering. She was very professional throughout, was smartly dressed, arrived early to get settled at the venue, and had a friendly and smiling disposition towards the guests. Her harp playing was excellent and she played from the list we had agreed previously. She was not phased out by playing at a busy gathering with much conversation in the background and continued with playing the harp beautifully throughout with short breaks when prompted by me. Many of the guests commented on her musical expertise and how much it added to the atmosphere of the family gathering. As for the booking system, it was swift and efficient and all done promptly by email. And I was pleased you accepted banker’s cheques!!I hope this is sufficient feedback and thanks again for getting it organised for our event.
