The Pablo Cortez Duo (with singer) - Spanish Singer & Guitarist

Looking for a Spanish singer and guitarist to perform at your event? This Spanish duo can perform for all kinds of events including Spanish themed events, parties and fiestas and the singer can also offer some flamenco dancing as part of the show.

The Spanish guitarist is originally from Cartagena in the South east of Spain and has performed in Spain at many prestigious flamenco festivals and concerts. In Britain he has performed as a soloist and accompanying flamenco dancers and singers at The Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall as well as many other concert halls and music festivals.

"He is a flamenco guitarist of tremendous passion and virtuosity" - Classical Guitar Magazine

The Spanish singer was born in Madrid and grew up in Arganda del Rey (Madrid) where she started dance lessons at the age of 4, performing regularly with the dance company at the local theatre as a child.

Later, she moved to Sweden with her family where she continued learning both at a local flamenco school, as well as taking lessons in Academia Amor de Dios in Madrid during her frequent visits to her home city.

She has also taken lessons in Sevilla and at Escuela Carmen de las Cuevas in Granada.

She started teaching flamenco at a dance company in Sweden and in her late teens founded a flamenco group in southern Sweden with her sister (dancer) and a few other flamenco musicians (guitarists, percussionist and singer), called Flamenco del Sur.

Although she started with flamenco dance from a young age, and her part in Flamenco del Sur was initially mainly as a dancer, performing with songs only occasionally, she found a passion in singing and eventually became the main singer of her flamenco group.

Together, Flamenco del Sur performed professionally at cultural events, parties and festivals for 8 years until she moved to the UK to do her PhD.

Currently, she performs weekly at a Spanish restaurant in England with professional guitarist, exploring both flamenco as well as other Spanish and Latin American music.

At university, where she is doing her PhD in climate science, she also sings in a rock group that rehearses weekly and does gigs a couple of times per term.

Although Spanish and English are the main languages she currently sings in, she is multi-lingual and also dabbles in music from other cultures and languages.

The act were once again fantastic. The guests really enjoyed themselves. Very authentic, and very professional. I had been in contact with the act a few times prior to the evening so everything was in place already.
