Entertainment for the Wedding Drinks Reception
Music for Weddings
We have provided acts for 1000s of satisfied customers since we began in 1999. Founder Geoff Robb is a professional classical guitarist himself, and really understands everything there is to know about booking live music for your wedding.
Find an act in your area by using our search tool, fill in an enquiry form and we will get back to you with availability and prices.
We understand this is your big day, so once you have made your booking with us we always put you in direct contact with your performers so you can discuss the logistics, timings and music choices for your wedding.
The Drinks Reception
You and your guests can enjoy some live music whilst the photographs are being taken - It can add a real touch of class to the atmosphere and make your event even more memorable!
Popular music choices are harpists, string quartets, guitarists, singers, pianists and jazz duos/groups – magicians are also very popular and entertaining.
If you want to save money, then we recommend booking the same act for the ceremony and the drinks reception. Most acts will also offer a package for the ceremony, drinks reception and meal, but this will be a 4.5 hour booking so they will need plenty of breaks and a meal.
Having live music during your dinner is also a popular choice. The musicians will usually play until the speeches, then quietly pack away and leave. Why not book a magician to offer close-up magic at each table or surprise your guests with singing waiters?
Points to consider
- If the weather is good then most acts are happy to perform outside but some acts will require a gazebo or shaded area to play. Most harpists do not wish to take their instruments into direct sunlight and most that do will ask to be on hard ground and not on the lawn.
- If it is windy then acts that play from sheet music may not be able perform outside.
- All guitarists and bands will bring their own amplification and some other acts can as well – most string quartets do not amplify.
