This jazz band is available in Peterborough, Cambridge and the surrounding counties.
Jazz is a great party music, loved by people of all ages. Ideal for birthday parties, weddings or just a good night out! Make sure your party goes with a swing!
From a trio to a full seven piece band, with or without a vocalist, we can give you exactly the line up and repertoire you require; playing throughout the East of England and East Anglia, including places such as London, Northampton, Birmingham, Peterborough, Nottingham, Leicester, Lincoln, Stamford, Leicester, Norwich and Kings Lynn.
What excuse do you need for a good time?
Trumpet - formed the band over 20 years ago and plays the trumpet and am very lucky to play together with some excellent musicians!
Clarinet, Tenor & Alto Sax - not only does he play these instruments but also is a vocalist and arranger. He has been playing since the 60s with Soar Valley Jazzmen and Boston Jazz Club, as well as accompanying many British & American stars on tour; playing in London, Europe, the USA & Caribbean. He has been with the band from our formation and has written many tunes, including our signature tune!
Acoustic Bass & Bass Guitar - His music career spans over 45 years, playing with show bands, big bands, cabaret bands & mainstream/traditional jazz. He has been with the band for over ten years.
Drummer - Has been playing the drums for over 30 years, with numerous bands from a wide variety of music styles.
Keyboards/Piano - Has been playing since the 70s in the Nottingham area with various jazz & swing bands, and has appeared in a variety of TV & radio broadcasts. He joined the band over five years ago.
They can play from a trio to a 7 piece band:
Trio: clarinet/saxophone, piano and bass
Quartet: clarinet/saxophone, piano, trumpet and bass
Quintet: clarinet/saxophone, drums, piano, trumpet and bass
Sextet: clarinet/saxophone, drums, piano, trombone, trumpet and bass
Septet (the full works!): clarinet/saxophone, drums, guitar, piano, trombone, trumpet and bass
Our reed player is a vocalist of repute and we can also call on a wonderful female blues singer if required.
