The London Harp & Flute Duo - Flute & Harp Duo

This flute and harp duo started working together in 2006 and have performed both as soloists and ensemble players in the UK and abroad in venues such as The Wallace Collection, Queen’s House-Greenwich, St James’s Piccadilly, St Martin-in-the-Fields, The Shard-London, Tate Modern, The Royal Academy of Arts and the Tower of London amongst others.

In addition to recitals, their flute and harp duo appears regularly at private and corporate events, such as receptions, wedding ceremonies, promotions and functions. Their program may focus on a particular style – from classical to jazz and contemporary music – or it may be more varied consisting of a range of contrasting works, including background and light music. Whatever the repertoire, this duo offers a beautiful blend of sounds and a real feast for the ears!

The harpist has a diverse and creative approach to performing and began studying the harp in her native country USA at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy. She further went on to study classical harp at The University of Michigan where she gained a bachelor of music in harp performance. With a strong interest in studying in the UK, she decided to continue her postgraduate studies at Trinity College of Music where her teachers included Charlotte Seale and Hugh Webb.

The flautist studied in Paris with Catherine Cantin and Pierre Dumail before joining the class of Wissam Boustany at Trinity College of Music in London.
Since the beginning of her career she has performed extensively both as a soloist and ensemble player in France, Greece, Ireland, Bulgaria and the UK, including appearances at the Mayfield Festival, Brighton Festival, Demetria Festival and the International Music Festival of Cyclades.
Her special interest in contemporary music has led her to work and record with new composers and artists such as Evelyn Ficcara for the British Music Information Centre, Basil Athanasiadis and Japanese composer Yoko Kubo. She has commissioned and premiered works at the Queen Elizabeth Hall/Foyer, the National Portrait Gallery, Blackheath Halls, St James’s Piccadilly, St Martin-in-the-Fields and the Hellenic Centre in London. She is also a co-founder of the Leto Ensemble which has been broadcast by BBC Radio 3 and is active performing in the U.K. and abroad.
